Room 13 ROOM 13, A Modern Haunting: 27th SEPTEMBER – 8th NOVEMBER
Room 13 is a new piece of work commissioned by the Barn Theatre.
In a lonely hotel, four strangers are forced to spend the night in Room 13. Bearing the weight of their own grief, shame and darkness, they come to realise that Room 13 has secrets of its own where the veil between the present and the past, the living and the dead, becomes frayed, and the new companions will have to face their darkest fears if they are ever to escape.
Written by the hugely talented duo of Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Able, (theatre adaptations of Girl on the Train and The DaVinci Code), ROOM 13 is inspired by the ghost stories of M.R. James. Full of drama and suspense, coupled with some Barn special effects, this production is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seats with an adrenaline-filled, hair-raising night of entertainment you won’t forget.

Urinetown the Musical Winner of three Tony Awards, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theatre itself! But don’t let that put you off! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on musicals.

In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!

Urinetown is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny. Praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a musical could be, Urinetown catapults the ""comedic romp"" into the new millennium with its outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit, and sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter.
